Five cars burned in a parking lot in Astana, owner taken to intensive care
Five cars caught fire in an outdoor parking lot in Astana. The owner of two cars was injured and is in intensive care with third-degree burns.
How it works
According to the preliminary police version, during remote engine start in one of the cars, the electrical wiring short-circuited. Due to strong wind, the fire quickly spread to nearby parked cars.
Why it matters
A fire in a parking lot near a residential complex shows the risk of car ignition, especially during remote start, and the danger for owners trying to save cars on their own.
What to do
For citizens
If you detect a car fire, do not approach it and call the fire department.
For businesses
Monitor the condition of the electrical wiring of company vehicles and train employees on actions in case of fire.
