The security matrix
The core principle of the editorial structure: one threat is examined in several dimensions at once.
The «eight sectors — eight desks» scheme is convenient for a newsroom but describes reality poorly. A data leak hits the individual, the business, the state, technology and law simultaneously — and in each dimension it has different consequences and a different answer.
So the major Qalqan Media topics are worked through as a matrix: the threat along one axis, the dimension along the other. That also determines which experts a piece needs.
A «✓» means the threat has a significant dimension in that field and the newsroom prepares a separate analysis for it.
